The Paradiddle is one of the most popular rudiments out there and is used pretty much by all drummers past and present. It’s a fundamental rudiment and has a few interesting additions, inversions and twists that’ll I explain later but for now here it is in the most simplest form for snare drum. It develops amazingly onto the drum set and can be used in classical percussion, jazz, funk, rock, pop, country and fusion music.
